Funeral Car

People with a connection to Bruny Island and/or who have relatives buried in cemetery may want to choose this site for their final resting place.

The Barnes Bay cemetery is well served by all the major funeral companies and the service can be conducted by a minister of any religion or by a celebrant.

Persons associated with the burial should be familiar with the Tasmanian  Burial and Cremation Regulations 2015.PDF

There are approximately 90 past residents of Bruny Island buried in our cemetery.

Persons wishing to buried here can reserve a plot by contacting the Secretary or the President.

A reservation can be made for a conventional burial plot or for a niche in the columbarium wall.

Bronze Plaque Details:

The plaque shown here has dimensions of 152mm x 127mm. (It is the first one to be placed in our columbarium).
It was manufactured by Arrow Bronze, Victoria and the  type designation is C152127, border No.3.

To ensure that all plaques on the columbarium wall will fit together without overlap, and to create a harmonious appearance then all plaques should adhere to the same dimensions, namely 152 x 127mm.
